Biography

Melissa Ginsberg is a partner with BraunHagey & Borden. She has extensive experience in a wide range of complex commercial disputes, including financial products, false advertising, business torts, antitrust, and commercial contract litigation. 

Melissa’s experience includes representing clients at every phase of litigation, from pre-litigation counseling through trial and appeal. Among other notable matters, she has represented financial guaranty insurers in disputes concerning mortgage-backed securities; a pet food manufacturer in connection with allegations of false advertising, breach of contract, and fraud; and a not-for-profit foundation in connection with claims seeking forfeiture of assets in excess of $500 million as a result of alleged violations of economic sanctions and anti-money laundering laws. Melissa is also experienced in cross-border disputes and currently serves as Chair of the Disputes Division of the ABA Section of International Law.

Melissa is committed to providing pro bono legal services. Melissa has represented criminal defendants in state and federal court, as well as plaintiffs in civil rights class actions.

Personal

Melissa lives in New York City with her husband and two children. She enjoys running and exploring parks throughout the city.
