Biography
Andrea Hasegawa is Counsel and Director of Associate Development at BraunHagey & Borden. She has extensive experience in disputes involving antitrust and unfair competition law, the False Claims Act, and products liability, trademark, and First Amendment issues, as well as other complex commercial litigation. She has defended and prosecuted claims on behalf of diverse clients, from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses, as well as provided counseling on issues relating to marketing and pricing and distribution structures.
Andrea has also worked on numerous pro bono matters, including cases involving the rights of children in the foster care system, state prisoners, and citizens seeking information under the Freedom of Information Act.
As Director of Associate Development, Andrea works closely with the firm’s associates to provide mentorship, feedback, and guidance on cases and projects. She collaborates with the firm’s assigning partner to staff associates on matters that will sharpen their advocacy skills and broaden their experience across a wide range of subject matters. She also coordinates training opportunities within the firm and with outside providers, helping associates gain the early responsibility and substantive experience BHB is known for.
Personal
Andrea lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and two sons. She enjoys running, hiking, yoga, cooking, and playing extremely competitive board games with her family.
