Biography

Chris Rice is a partner in BraunHagey & Borden’s New York office, where he represents clients both in civil litigation and in regulatory matters before local, state, and federal regulators. Chris has litigated a wide range of complex matters in state and federal courts across the country, including litigations involving trade secrets and other intellectual property rights, employee raiding and employer retaliation, breach of contract and fiduciary duties, securities and shareholder disputes, and consumer class actions. Chris also has represented both debtors and creditors in restructuring-related disputes and has advised clients concerning litigation risk relating to contemplated transactions and investments.

Chris also devotes a significant amount of time to his pro bono and impact litigation practices, advocating on behalf of indigent clients and underserved communities. His past successes include the exoneration and release of two wrongfully convicted clients and an injunction preventing a state department of correction from infringing on the constitutional rights of incarcerated people.
