Biography

Hadley Rood is a fellow at BraunHagey and Borden. Hadley’s practice focuses on protecting underserved causes and communities specializing in housing justice and the decriminalization of poverty, specifically the decriminalization of homelessness. Hadley was a Berkeley Law Public Interest Fellow at Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area, where she helped develop and litigate the Coalition on Homelessness v. City and County of San Francisco case challenging San Francisco’s practices during encampment sweeps. Most recently, she has worked as a staff attorney at Bay Area Legal Aid, practicing eviction defense and serving as a co-chair of BayLegal’s Homelessness Task Force.  

Personal

When she’s not fiercely advocating for her clients, Hadley contributes to the Bay Area’s creative scene by playing guitar, exploring her artistic side, and browsing the independent bookstores of San Francisco and the East Bay.
