Biography

Sam Reilly is an attorney in BraunHagey & Borden’s New York office. Sam’s practice spans a wide range of civil, criminal, and regulatory litigation matters, both at trial and on appeal. Sam represents clients at all three levels of the federal judiciary, including the United States Supreme Court. He drafts numerous motions and appellate briefs, including cert-stage and merits-stage briefing at the U.S. Supreme Court, and guides clients through the various stages of litigation.

Sam is committed to the firm’s impact practice, and his past pro bono work has included representing multiple clients in 42 U.S.C. § 1983 actions and asylum matters.

Sam clerked for the Honorable Frank M. Hull at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He previously taught high school U.S. history in Nashville, Tennessee.

Personal

Sam lives in Brooklyn with his wife, Kasey, and their rescue dog, Birdie. In his free time, he runs and cycles in Prospect Park and enjoys a Premier League morning – or really, any sport.
